Institute of Higher Education

Higher Education Institute of Beijing University of Technology (HEI, BJUT) was founded in June, 2006. It is an organization integrating scientific research, policy consultation, management  and academic exchange in the field of higher education. The components of strategic research base of Ministry of Education e.g., High Level Regional University Strategic Development Center, Capital Advanced Engineering Education Research Center, High Education Association of BJUT are all affiliated with Higher Education Institute of Beijing University of Technology. In 2005 HEI, BJUT was authorized to confer master’s degree in Higher Education which belongs to the secondary discipline. In 2008 HEI, BJUT Higher Education was elected as key discipline in Beijing. In 2011 HEI, BJUT was authorized to confer master’s degree in Education which is the primary discipline.

HEI, BJUTT has 5 main research areas: higher education and university administration, higher engineering education, student affairs administration, university teaching, modern education technology.
There are 10 teachers in HEI, BJUT. 7 of them are full-time teachers and 7 of them have doctoral degrees. 6 of them with senior professional and technical titles.  HEI, BJUT has 18 tutors for master’s degree students and 12 of them are part-time tutors. In 2007 HEI, BJUT began to recruit master’s degree students. As of now 4 batches of postgraduates in different academic years have graduated and 40 postgraduates are currently registered.
HEI, BJUT is responsible for publishing and distributing inner circulation academic journal  Education Research Communication (quarterly)
