Dr. Nie Zuoren , Professor and Vice President of BJUT, was born in Changsha City, Hunan Province in 1963. he obtained his Master’s and Ph.D. Degree from Zhongnan University. He was a Visiting Professor in the University of Tokyo and Nagoya University, Japan between September 2002 and March 2004. Afterward, he worked as Deputy Dean and Dean of the College of Material Science in BJUT consecutively. Since April 2013 he has been Vice President of BJUT.
He is a leading expert in the field of New Material Technology in China. He is a member of the Project Evaluation Team in China’s Natural Science Fund Committee, and a committee member of “Int. J. LCA” (Germany) in China. He is mainly engaged in non-ferrous metal metallurgy materials processing and recycling research. As VP, he is in charge of science and technology development, and is responsible for the Institute of Science & Technology Development, University Science & Technology Park, and etc.
