Qiao Junfei, a native of Inner Mongolia, Dr. & Professor, and Doctoral Candidate supervisor. Previously, he has held various administrative positions including the Deputy Dean of the College of Electronic Information and Controlling Engineering, the Deputy Dean & the Executive Deputy Dean of the Graduate School, Director of Department of Human Resources and Dean of Information Faculty. Since April, 2017, he has been Vice President of BJUT.
Dr. Qiao has long been engaged in the field of computational intelligence and intelligent optimization control, making great achievements in Intelligent Feature Modeling, Self-organizing Control and Intelligent Optimization. He has undertaken more than 20 research projects at the National or Provincial level, published more than 100 papers on prestigious journals, such as Automatica, IEEE Transactions, Acta Automatica Sinica and so on. More than 20 invention patents of him have been authorized by U.S. and China respectively. He has supervised more than 40 Doctoral Candidates and Master’s Degree students, among whom one achieved the National Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Nomination Award.
Dr. Qiao Junfei has received numerous honors, including Specially-Appointed Professor of “Chang Jiang Scholars Program” by the Ministry of Education, Distinguished Young Scholar by the National Natural Science Fund, Professor listed in National Ten Million Talents Project, Winner of Special Government Allowance by the State Council.
He is the Director of Beijing Key Laboratory of Computational Intelligence and Intelligent System, and also takes charge of one Beijing Top-quality Course. Dr. Qiao is a member of Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence, Chinese Association of Automation. He serves as an Editorial Board Member of Acta Automatica Sinica and Acta Electronica Sinica.
