1. Mathematics

(Two orientations Mathematics and Applied Mathematics, Information and Computing Science)

Objective: This program is established to cultivate inter-disciplinary talents with systematic mathematical training, solid mathematical foundation and professional knowledge to proficiently using mathematical knowledge and data analysis methods to conduct further study in Mathematics, Science and Engineering, Finance, Economic Management and other majors; cultivate specialized talents in Applied Mathematics with a broad vision and all-round development to engage in fields as management, insurance, research, teaching, etc. in the economic, financial, technological, and educational sectors.


Mathematics courses: Mathematical Analysis, Advanced Algebra, Analytical Geometry, Differential Equations, Probability Theory, Numerical Analysis, Mathematical Statistics, Complex Variable Functions, Real Variable Functions and some professional elective courses, such as Mathematical Equations, Functional Analysis, Differential Geometry, Modern Algebra, Topology, Numerical Solutions of Differential Equations, Regression Analysis and Experimental Design, Mathematical Models, Mathematical Planning and Operations Research.

Computer courses: Discrete Mathematics, C / C ++ Programming, Data Structure, Database Technology and Application, Software Engineering, Java language, Network Technology, Multimedia Technology, etc.; practical courses such as Mathematical Experiment and Application Software, Mathematical Modeling Experiment.

2. Applied Physics

Objective: To meet the needs of modern innovation-led economic and social construction and the development of optoelectronic information technology, this program intends to cultivate interdisciplinary applied talents and research talents with humanistic quality, scientific literacy and social responsibility. The talents should have good mathematical foundation, solid theoretical basics of Physics, professional foundation and experimental skills of Applied Physics (featured Optoelectronic Technology). The talents should be equipped with good foreign language ability and computer application ability, as well as the sense of innovation and experimental development ability, independent knowledge acquisition ability, communication and organization management ability.

Required specialized courses: Information Optics, Crystal Optics, Computer Principles and Interfaces, Communication Principles, Principles for Optical Fiber Communications, Optoelectronics, Computational Physics, and etc.

Optional specialized courses (2-3 courses): Sensor Principles and Applications, Nano Opticsand Technology, Principles and Applications of Single Chip Microcomputer, Data Communication Network, Optical Fiber Communication Network, Atomic Physics, Introduction to Modern Physics, Photoelectric Films and Devices, Physical Testing Technology, etc.

You can engage in data analysis, consulting and decision-making in the fields of finance, insurance, Internet, biology, medicine, health and other industries and government departments. The major is dedicated to cultivating high-quality innovated talents with the ability of communication and organization management.
