The College of Architecture and Urban Planning at BJUT has recently seen a string of academic successes, with faculty and students being published in top international journals, including Nature Cities and Cities.

On June 11, young faculty member Zhang Enjia, in collaboration with Tsinghua University, published a research article titled "The Form of China's Urban Commercial Expansion in the Digital Era" in Nature Cities, Zhang Enjia serving as the first author.

On June 3, University-Appointed Professor Xia Chuyu published a paper as first author in Cities, titled "How Is the urban built environment associated with commuting carbon emissions during the COVID-19 pandemic: A case study in Hangzhou, China."

In November 2024, PhD student Hou Longlong, under the supervision of Professor Chen Zhilong, published a paper as first author in Cities, titled "Reshaping port-city relationships through underground logistics systems: A mixed qualitative approach."
In recent years, faculty and students from the College have consistently published high-impact research in both Chinese and international journals, addressing cutting-edge topics in the fields of architecture and urban science. Notable publications in which they have been published include Sustainable Cities and Society, Urban Planning Forum, Architectural Journal, Urban Studies, and Chinese Landscape Architecture. These achievements highlight the College's strong academic foundation and innovative spirit in advancing these fields, contributing BJUT's insights into pressing challenges in urban development.
