A research team led by Professor Chen Shujun from BJUT recently published a study titled "A Physics-informed and Data-driven Framework for Robotic Welding in Manufacturing" in the prestigious international journal Nature Communications. This marks the first publication from BJUT's College of Mechanical and Energy Engineering to appear in a Nature sub-journal as the primary contributor, representing a major milestone for the University in mechanical engineering research.

Professor Jiang Fan from the College of Mechanical and Energy Engineering is the sole corresponding author, with postdoctoral researcher Liu Jingbo as the sole first author. Professor Chen Shujun, along with Professors Shinichi Tashiro and Manabu Tanaka from the Joining and Welding Research Institute at Osaka University, are co-authors.
