On September 23, the opening ceremony of the 11th BJUT Science and Technology Festival & Achievement Exhibition was held, beginning with a dance show by smart robots.
"The festival provides a good opportunity and platform for students. I hope that students can actively participate in the festival, keep improving their innovation competence, and contribute to the building of China into a leading technological power", said Zhou Kailing, a young faculty member and 2021 Ph.D. graduate.
Technology competition is an integral part of talent cultivation in BJUT. BJUT's students are enthusiastic about technological activities, obtaining fruitful outcomes in many competitions such as China Postgraduate Innovation Competition, the China College Students' "Internet+" Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, and the "Challenge Cup" National Business Plan Competition for College Students.
The exhibition, which will last until September 29, is a technological feast for faculty, staff members and students with the unveiling of more than 120 works from 12 faculties. Alongside the achievement exhibition, there are other events including sci. & tech. competitions, PhD and Master forum, and "Sci. & Tech. Star" selection. The students are organized to participate in a series of off-campus activities, such as the Capital University Students' Creativity Market, the Presentation on Students' Technological Innovation Works and Patent Achievements, to broaden their horizons.
