He highlighted that Beijing's Modern Manufacturing Industry Development and Research Base, as a key research center for humanities and social sciences in Beijing, is an integral part of the University's think tank. The base has played a vital role in advancing Beijing's manufacturing industry up the value chain and in promoting the formation of world-class manufacturing clusters in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. He expressed the hope that the base will continue to focus on global science and technology frontiers, national economic development, China's key needs, and the health and safety of its people. He emphasized the importance of producing high-quality, groundbreaking results that will form the basis of an exemplary Blue Book series, contributing to the development of Beijing's modern industrial system and the coordinated growth of the region's manufacturing sector.

Ji Xiangde stated that the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei coordinated development strategy is designed to promote collaborative growth across the three regions, optimize spatial planning, drive economic transformation and upgrading, foster institutional and structural reforms, and advance Chinese-style modernization through high-quality development. He noted that the Annual Report on the Development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Manufacturing (2023), published by the base last year, won the 15th Excellent New Blue Book Award, underscoring the significant impact of this Blue Book series.
