BJUT Holds Opening Ceremony for the Incoming Class of 2025

On September 11, Beijing University of Technology held the opening ceremony for the Incoming Class of 2025. Over 8,400 new undergraduate, graduate, and international students, from across China and around the world gathered at the Pingleyuan Campus for the event, and nearly 40,000 faculty, alumni, and parents joined via livestream.

On behalf of the University, He Ming, Secretary of the CPC BJUT Committee, accepted a gift titled "Pledge with Signatures" from Gao Yuexi, a student of the College of Art and Design and representative of the Incoming Class of 2025.

President Nie Zuoren delivered a speech titled "65 Years of Continuous Renewal, Forging Ahead and Dedicating Our Youth," extending a warm welcome and heartfelt congratulations to the Incoming Class of 2025 on behalf of all faculty members and students.

University leaders, academicians, and nationally recognized teaching masters presented appointment letters to the new class advisors and counselors, and university emblems to student representatives.

Professor Song Xiaoyan, doctoral supervisor at the College of Materials Science and Engineering and a National Outstanding Teacher, shared her reflections and expectations as an educator.

Xu Yiyang, an undergraduate student from the School of Information Science and Technology, and Wang Bochen, a graduate student from the College of Mechanical and Energy Engineering, spoke on behalf of the new Class of 2025.
