The 15th BJUT Science and Technology Festival & Student Achievement Exhibition opened recently, and includes a student science and technology achievement exhibition.BJUT leaders including Deputy Party Secretary Qiao Junfei and Vice President Wang Wei attended the opening ceremony, along with over 200 representatives from the China Association for Science and Technology, the Beijing Association for Science and Technology, the Beijing CYL municipal committee, the High School Attached to Beijing University of Technology, and officials from various BJUT departments, as well as faculty and students from the School Attached to Beijing University of Technology and the BJUT Experimental Junior High School.

For the past years, BJUT has earned 56 national and 280 provincial science and technology awards in "Challenge Cup" competitions among nationwide universities.

The BJUT Science and Technology Festival, dedicated to promoting students' scientific practice and technological innovation on campus, has become a well-recognized campus event. Over the past 14 years, over 1,000 activities have been organized, displaying more than 1,500 scientific outcomes, and reaching over a hundred thousand teachers and students. This year's Festival, themed "Youth Innovation for the Future", will run from October to December. It features 79 student projects - including 22 physical exhibits – across four themed zones, these being 'Embracing Challenges', 'AI Empowerment', 'Innovation-Driven', and 'Infinite Creativeness'. In addition, more than 20 University-wide activities will be organized to showcase scientific and technological dynamics.
