Recently, Engineering Structures, a prestigious journal in the field of civil engineering, announced the results of its Editor's Featured Paper Awards. A paper titled "Shaking-table tests on a steel cable-stayed bridge with spatial irregular pylons," won the award. It was jointly completed by the team led by Academician Du Xiuli at the State Key Laboratory of Bridge Engineering Safety and Resilience, BJUT, including Professor Wen Jianian, Dr. Zhang Qiang, Professor Han Qiang, and Professor Xu Kun, in collaboration with Dr. Zhang Xuan from The First Construction Engineering Company Ltd. of China Construction Second Engineering Bureau and Professor-level Senior Engineer Yang Bing from Beijing General Municipal Engineering Design & Research Institute Co., Ltd. The award-winning paper was published in Vol. 344 (2025) of Engineering Structures.
