On February 3, BJUT received official approval from the Zhantianyou Development Foundation of Science and Technology to establish the "Zhan Tianyou Class," to be built upon its two national first-class undergraduate majors: Traffic Engineering, and Traffic Equipment and Control Engineering. The approval to establish the "Zhan Tianyou Class" marks an important initiative by the University's Transportation Engineering discipline to further advance its distinctive talent cultivation and actively serve national strategies. It will provide a new platform for exploring a training model for top-level innovative talents characterized by the deep integration of enterprises, universities, research institutes and end-users.
The "Zhan Tianyou Class" is dedicated to commemorating and promoting Zhan Tianyou's spirit of patriotism, dedication, independent innovation, and perseverance. Focusing on the long-term development needs of China's railways and rail transit sector, the program aims to explore a model of discipline development and talent training characterized by the deep integration of enterprises, universities, research institutes and end-users.
