Academician of the Academy of Engineering Singapore Visits the College of Computer Science

On March 12, Tony Q. S. Quek, Academician of the Academy of Engineering Singapore and Vice President of the Singapore University of Technology and Design, visited the College of Computer Science at Beijing University of Technology (BJUT) for academic exchanges, and also delivered an academic lecture.  

On behalf of the University, Qiao Junfei ,Deputy Secretary of the CPC BJUT Committee,extended a warm welcome to Academician Tony Q. S. Quek. He expressed the hope that this academic exchange would serve as an opportunity to establish a regular exchange platform between the two universities, continuously deepening practical cooperation in academic research, joint talent cultivation, and collaborative research projects, and jointly advancing innovative developments in the field of computer science.

Tony Q. S. Quek delivered an academic lecture titled "AI-driven Radio Access Networks (AI-RAN)," in which he elaborated on the strategic value of AI-RAN technology in AI-native networks, sharing the latest progress in the development of the AI-RAN platform, and his proposed entrepreneurial plan for its localized development in China. Tony Q. S. Quek's lecture offered an in-depth analysis of the pathways for integrating technological innovation with industrial applications, providing the faculty and students with cutting-edge academic perspectives and valuable inspiration.

During the discussion session, the faculty and students discussed academic topics with Tony Q. S. Quek, such as future research directions, and opportunities for international academic collaboration.
