Personal Statement

Hua-Min Chen received the B.S. in Electronic Information Engineering from Northeast University of China in 2005, and the Ph.D. in Information and Communication Engineering from Southeast University of China in 2011, respectively. She is working in the Faculty of Information at Beijing University of Technology, and specializes in the physical layer design on wireless communication in Terahertz band, physical layer algorithm design of 5G system (channel estimation, MIMO design, beamforming and etc. ), and IoT system development based on deep learning.

Dr. Chen has worked on physical layer design of 4G/5G system and frequency refarming as a Technical Assistant Manager in MediaTek Inc. (Beijing) from 2010 to 2016 and participated in 4G Rel-11, Rel-12, 5G standardization. More than 10 patents were adopted by 3GPP specifications of 36 and 38 series during Dr. Chen’s service in Mediatek.

Up to now, Dr. Chen has published more than 10 SCI/EI papers and applied for more than 20 national/international patents and 5 software copyrights. Currently, Dr. Chen is in charge of the project “Algorithm Design and Link Level Simulation of 5G Small Base Station”, and participates in 3 other projects on IoT system design and development based on deep learning.
