Personal Statement

Bo Liu is an associate professor and doctoral supervisor in Faculty of Information Technology, Beijing University of Technology. She received the Ph.D. degree from the Department of Automation, Tsinghua University in 2008. She worked in NEC Laboratory China as a researcher during 2008-2010 and 2013-2015. She was a Research Professional at Computation Institute, The University of Chicago, USA, and Mathematics and Computer Science Division, Argonne National Laboratory, USA, from 2011 to 2012. She joined Beijing University of Technology in 2015 as an associate professor. Her main research focuses on massive spatio-temporal data analysis for air pollution and medical care.

She has published 70 papers, and has 53 patents and 4 software copyrights. She has hosted 25 research projects and joins even more projects, including those funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Beijing Natural Science Foundation and National Key R&D Program of China.
