Selected for National First-class Discipline Development
Selected as a Pilot Program for Building a Country with a Strong Transportation Network
A Major Accredited for Engineering Education
Cultivation Characteristics
As the first university in China to establish a Transportation Engineering major, BJUT offers a four-year undergraduate program and an eight-year integrated bachelor's, Master's and doctoral degrees program. A fully-staffed honors level experimental class and a fully mentored training program are launched for both programs. We are amongst the first to be selected as National First-Class Undergraduate Majors and to be accredited for Engineering Education. Besides offering the Master's and doctoral programs in transportation-related disciplines, we host a first-level discipline postdoctoral research stations in Transportation Engineering. We are alsoaffiliated with in the National First-Class Discipline Cluster Development and the Pilot Program for Building a Country with a Strong Transportation Network. Nine provincial and ministerial-level research bases, including a provincially and ministerially co-constructed state key laboratory cultivation base, and a demonstration base of innovative talent training for urban transportation digitalization have been constructed. From 2000 to 2019, we served as the chair institution of the Ministry of Education's Teaching Steering Committee for Transportation Engineering.
