Undergraduate Program Related to Disciplines Under the National "Double First-Class" Initiative

National First-Class Undergraduate Major Construction Site

Accredited for Engineering Education Twice in a Row

Cultivation Characteristics

This discipline, spearheaded by academicians, assembles national and provincial-level high-caliber talents to build an outstanding faculty team dedicated to student development. We fully implement a student-centered, practice-project-driven whole-process tutorial system. Leveraging multi-dimensional platforms—including the National Engineering Laboratory, National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center, Virtual Simulation Training Center, and Beijing Key Laboratory—we deeply integrate smart technologies to address national strategic priorities such as urban wastewater treatment and resource recovery, drinking water safety assurance, optimization of water supply and drainage networks, and stormwater utilization. Through smart and digital approaches, we enhance professional practice and innovation capabilities, forging a distinctive strength in water cycle health and water system security that serves the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, anchors in Beijing, and radiates nationwide. This shapes a smart technology-enabled, nationally top-tier discipline brand.
