Cultivation Characteristics

This major aim is to cultivate well-educated, well-rounded talents who can meet the practical needs ofthe country,and Beijing's development. Graduates are expected to be qualified for jobs in fields such as international communication, language education, humanities and social science research, cultural exchange, international trade, journalism, and publishing.

The major, adopting broad-based enrollment, adheres to the distinctive principle of "language as foundation, humanities as core, and interdisciplinary integration." Students are encouraged to engage in interdisciplinary research projects, take high-level general education courses, and pursue dual degrees or minors across disciplines,which ultimately cultivates well-educated, interdisciplinary talents with exceptional language skills, profound knowledge inthehumanities, and strong interdisciplinary awareness.


Faculty & Staff

The major is supported by a dedicated and highly qualified faculty team, comprised of 21 full-time teachers in English, Japanese, French, and Korean. All faculty members have overseas study experience, visiting study, or academic exchange, and together constitute a diverse faculty structure.


Teaching Resources

Backed by the Foreign Languages and Literature discipline, the major is equipped with fully functional multimedia classrooms, a modern digital language center, and a simultaneous interpretation laboratory. Students regularly participate in both national and international professional competitions and serve in major foreign affairs and sportevents. These opportunities comprehensively enhance students' abilities and promote the integration of theory and practice.
