Artificial Intelligence (Honors Class)

A Major for National Emerging Engineering Education

Cultivation Characteristics

This major is designed to meet the major national and Beijing municipal needs in application fields such as service robotics, intelligent transportation, smart healthcare, and smart environmental protection. With broad prospects for development and application, artificial intelligence is, and will be, in high demand across various industries for a long period, and is recognized as an emerging, talent-scarce field strongly supported by the Nation.

The major builds on the strengths of the University's first-level discipline in Control Science and Engineering and the advantageous platform of the Beijing Institute of Artificial Intelligence, and emphasizes the integration of AI technologies with industry. The major aims to provide students with a solid foundation in artificial intelligence theory and a comprehensive system of professional knowledge.
