Cultivation Characteristics
This major is rooted in China's national context and focuses on meeting the country's critical needs in cybersecurity, with a distinctive emphasis on the research of trusted computing. It integrates and optimizes teaching and research resources to support talent cultivation in areas such as cryptography, system security, network security, and content security. The major adopts an honors-class admission model, with prioritized training in faculty resources, research projects, and competitions. Guided by the educational philosophy of "emphasizing fundamentals, valuing practice, and encouraging innovation," the major features a well-structured curriculum. In addition, it offers multi-dimensional training through on-campus practical and experimental activities, as well as enterprise internships, ensuring that students are highly suited for both further studies and employment.

Teaching Resources
The major is supported by the Beijing Key Laboratory of Trusted Computing and the National Cybersecurity Multi-Level Protection System 2.0 and Trusted Computing 3.0 Research and Demonstration Base. It has taken a leading role in formulating a series of trusted computing standards in China. In 2010, the Information Security (Interdisciplinary) course was recognized as a key discipline in Beijing, and in 2018 it gained Master's degree status in Cybersecurity. The major was selected as a National-Level Featured Major in 2007, included in the Ministry of Education's "Excellent Engineer Education and Training Scheme" in 2011, accredited for engineering education in 2019, and recognized as a National First-Class Undergraduate Major Construction Site in 2020.
