BJUT Holds Welcome Meeting for International faculty

With Chinese Teachers’ Day and Mid-Autumn Festival approaching, BJUT held a welcome meeting for international faculty on September 10. Vice President Wu Bin attended the event along with heads of the International Office and relevant secondary-level institutions, with more than 30 representatives of international faculty members in attendance. Director Wang Wei of the International Office presided over the event.

 

Vice President Wu Bin expressed his regards and wishes to

all international faculty members. On behalf of BJUT, he extended sincere thanks to those who have been with the university for years and extended a warm welcome to newcomers. He briefly introduced BJUT’s internationalization efforts and noted that recent years have seen a rise in the number and quality of international faculty, and that the university could not have been here without the contribution and cooperation of international faculty. He hoped that they could settle into BJUT and play a significant role in BJUT’s internationalization. Lastly, Vice-President Wu asked international faculty members to observe local laws and regulations and school rules. He hoped that more foreign teachers could settle in BJUT to spread knowledge, cultivate talents, and contribute international wisdom to the international development of the university.

 

Representatives of veterans and newcomers spoke at the event, extending their gratitude to the resources and development opportunities provided by BJUT and their readiness to work hard to inject vitality into the university and make new progress in their career.

 

By the end of September, BJUT has accumulated a total of 77 international faculty members from the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Australia, Germany, South Korea, Japan, Pakistan, India, and other countries and regions. 33 are high-level talents, 4 are postdocs, and 40 are teaching, administrative or teaching & scientific research staff (13 are sent by international partner institutions). They assume teaching & research, teaching or administrative positions at 17 faculties/colleges/institutes.
