One Belt One Road, We Are Fighting Together!

One Belt and One Road; We are fighting COVID-19 together with the world.

Under the ongoing COVID-19 in China, with the epidemic prevention and control requirements of the Central Party Committee and Beijing Municipal Government, Beijing University of Technology, together with all teachers and students, has firm confidence to realize a full victory against the epidemic through scientific prevention and control.

On February 6, on behalf of BJUT, President Gonghui Liu wrote to the international partners to explain the university’s policies against the epidemic and express thanks to the international partners for their support for BJUT.

Partners from the countries along the belt and road including Poland, Ukraine, Italy, Korea, Pakistan, and Iran, sent videos, photos and letters to BJUT and expressing confidence and support to teachers and students, and people in Wuhan and China. Below is a brief review of these messages.

The Universities Attending the Sino-polish University Consortium International Academic Conferences Themed on “Linking Belt and Road, Bonding Tech and Heart”.

From July to November, 2019, BJUT held the first Sino-polish University Consortium International Academic Conferences Themed on “Linking Belt and Road, Bonding Tech and Heart”. Scholars and students from 182 universities and institutes from 24 countries and regions attended the conferences, some of whom sent us their sincere sympathy regarding the epidemic.

In April, 2019, on the opening ceremony of the Second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation, President Xi Jinping quoted “plants with strong roots grow well, and efforts with the right focus will ensure success.” The joint pursuit of the Belt and Road Initiative aims to enhance connectivity and practical cooperation. It is about jointly meeting various challenges and risks confronting mankind and delivering win-win outcomes and common development.
