BJUT Officially Launched the Online Teaching Activities for the Spring Semester

In order to continue the teaching work during the epidemic, relevant departments of BJUT have made a series of working and emergency response plans involving online teaching. All faculty and students have been provided with guidance on how to use online teaching and learning platforms such as the BJUT Rixin Classroom, the TenCent Classroom and the Rain Classroom. Teachers have made a huge effort to prepare for online teaching activities by learning the online teaching methods on different platforms and making and preparing the teaching materials including video clips, courseware and class exercises. On Feb. 24th, the first day of the Spring Semester, Xie Hui, Secretary of CPC BJUT Committee, Liu Gonghui, President of BJUT, and Wu Bin, Vice President of BJUT, inspected the online teaching work and observed a few online courses together.

Heads of relevant departments gave a brief introduction to the on-going situation of the online teaching activities. Leadership of BJUT asked about the functions, advantages and disadvantages of all the online platforms and also about the feedback from the teachers. They observed a few online classes and inquired detailed information about the platform’s usage data. They pointed out that it is our priority to guarantee the quality of the online teaching activities and make sure that they’re just as good as the off-online classes. They instructed that, in order to optimize the online teaching work and guarantee the teaching quality during this special period, all relevant departments should reflect upon the first day of the online teaching, study the feedback from teachers and students and draw on lessons and experience from the past practices and from other universities.
