BJUT Holds the 5th China Conference of Simulation Application Technology

The Fifth China Conference of Simulation Application Technology, sponsored by the China Industrial Cooperation Association and Beijing University of Technology (BJUT), was successfully held at BJUT from November 25th to 26th. Themed on "Simulation Technology for the Digital and Intelligent Era", the conference invited experts, scholars, and business representatives to engage in in-depth discussions and exchanges. The aim was to establish a high-quality platform for the integration of industry, academia, and research in the field of simulation technology, and to promote the high-quality development of the BJUT Shan-He-Wan-Gu Innovation Zone.

The conference was honored by the presence of distinguished guests, including Zeng Dehua, Deputy Director of the Education Management Information Center at the Ministry of Education; Tian Yuping, Chairman of the China Industrial Cooperation Association; Jiang Zeting, Secretary of CPC BJUT Committee; Du Xiuli, Member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Professor of the Faculty of Architecture, Civil, and Transportation Engineering at BJUT; Tan Jianrong, Member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering; Chen Yong, a Foreign Academician of the Russian Academy of Engineering; and Wang Binwen, Director of the Aircraft Strength Research Institute of China. Over 500 leaders, experts, and professionals from businesses, universities, and research institutions in industries such as aerospace, transportation equipment, intelligent manufacturing, civil engineering, energy and chemical engineering, and industrial software, attended the event.

Tian Yuping highlighted the widespread use of simulation technology in various sectors, including industry, agriculture, the military, healthcare, and transportation. She emphasized its significant impact, especially in high-tech areas such as aerospace, information technology, the life sciences, materials, energy, and advanced manufacturing. Simulation technology plays a pivotal role in addressing significant engineering challenges. Tian also pointed out that as computer technology and mathematical modeling advance, the use of simulation and its integration with technology is expected to expand and deepen across all these sectors.

Jiang Zeting welcomed and thanked the leaders, experts, students, and members of the public who had attended the conference. He pointed out that with the advancement of the digital economy and artificial intelligence, the digital era has resulted in a higher demand for the application of simulation technology, broadening its scope in areas such as industry, scientific research, and education. BJUT will promote the Shan-He-Wan-Gu Innovation Zone as a regional pivot to support the high-quality development of the country and the capital city.

The conference announced the "2023 Outstanding Cases in Simulation Technology", which encompassed two categories: the "2023 Outstanding Cases of Innovation in Simulation Technology" and the "2023 Outstanding Cases of the Application of Simulation Technology".

The formation of the drafting group for the association standard titled "Automotive Chassis Frame Structural Strength Simulation Technology Specifications", led by China Automotive Engineering Research Institute Co., Ltd., was officially announced at the conference.

The conference centered on "original innovation" and "self-reliance and enhanced control", and held a specialized "high-end dialogue" segment. This segment included in-depth discussions on "Modeling Simulation and Forward Design" and "Empowering Enterprises through Industrial Software".

The China Simulation Technology Exhibition was held concurrently with the conference. Dozens of domestic industrial software developers and supercomputer manufacturers presented their latest products, helping businesses in their digital transformation and upgrading.
