The College of Innovation & Entrepreneurship, which is a secondary-level institution of BJUT,was officially established on January 5, 2016. Its major responsibility is to coordinate the teaching resources of the BJUT, to undertake the teaching work by cultivating the innovation & entrepreneurship awareness, spirit and capability of the students, as well as implant the educational concept of innovation & entrepreneurship throughout the process of talent training; to build the College Student Pioneer Park and Training Base for innovative and entrepreneurial talents and provide students with practice and training services on innovation & entrepreneurship; to research on innovation & entrepreneurship education and practice system and formulate the innovation & entrepreneurship policy.
The objective of the College is to explore and establish a system and mechanism for cultivating innovative and entrepreneurial talents among inter-departments, inter-disciplines and inter-specialties. To systematically establish the Innovation & Entrepreneurship Curriculum Group of BJUT, build the College Student Pioneer Park and Innovation & Entrepreneurship Talent Training Base, improve the innovation & entrepreneurship training and practice platform system, and comprehensively raise innovation & entrepreneurship awareness, spirit and capability of students. It aims to build an exemplary training college for innovative and entrepreneurial talents and produce innovation & entrepreneurship education achievements that can be used for reference.
The College of Innovation and Entrepreneurship is based on the Employment and Entrepreneurship Guidance Center to carry out its responsibilities. The university has established the Management Committee of College of Innovation and Entrepreneurship to manage and guide the education, teaching and entrepreneurship practice of the university. The President of the BJUT serves as the Director of the Management Committee; the Deputy Secretary of the University Party Committee who is in charge of student affairs works as the Executive Deputy Director, and the Vice President who is in charge of undergraduate and postgraduate program acts as the Deputy Director. The members of the Committee are composed of the heads from relevant functional departments.
