College of Economics and Management

The College of Economics and Management was established in 1997 with management and economics as two main disciplines. The college is composed of the Department of Management Science and Engineering, Department of Applied Economics, and the Department of Business Administration with 2 first-level doctoral programs, 1 post-doctoral mobile station, 3 first-level postgraduate programs, 3 professional master programs and 7 undergraduate programs. It is one of the largest-scale colleges in Beijing University of Technology. At present, the college has one Academician of the China Academy of Engineering, two experts obtaining the special allowance of the State Council, two Great Wall Scholars, two New Century Excellent Talents selected by the Ministry of Education, and 13 Beijing Young Top-notch Talents. Based on the principle of “Overall planning, expert guidance, team support, coordination and students’ autonomous management make joint excellence", the college continuously promotes students' scientific and technological innovation and practical ability. In 2017, the college won the special prize and second prize in the "Challenge Cup" Capital University Students' Extracurricular Academic and Scientific Works Competition. In 2018, the college won the MBA special silver prize in "Youth Creation" National University Students' Entrepreneurship Competition and the bronze prize in Entrepreneurship Plan Competition. In 2019, the college won the first prize in the "Challenge Cup" Capital University Students' Extracurricular Academic and Scientific Works Competition.
