· Academician Li Jingwen Wins Fudan Lifetime Achievement Award

Academician Li Jingwen, an honorary dean of the College of Economics and Management receives the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Fudan Premium Fund of Management after being on 2020 shortlist.

Fudan Premium Fund of Management Award is known as the highest standard in the field of management in China. Founded in 2005,the Fudan Premium Fund of Management aims to reward those who have made outsanding contributions in the field of management. The fund advocates that management theory should be in line with China's national conditions, fosters Chinese management talents, and enhance the academic position and influence of China’s management science around the world. Since its establishment in 2012, the Lifetime Achievement Award of the Fudan Premium Fund of Management has been targeting the pioneers in the management discipline or founders of management research in China. To date, 8 winners have been selected.

Academician Li Jingwen is a famous economist and management scientist in China, a member of 1st Group CASS Members and a former member of Presidium of Academic Divisions, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, a professor and honorary dean of the College of Economics and Management, BJUT. As one of the founders of the economics of technology in China, Academician Li Jingwen first systematically studied the law of technological advancement and its interaction with economic growth, industrial structure and economic benefits. He took the lead in proposing the theory and measurement method of scientific progress, and firstly attempted to predict economy and technology trend with the theory and method of quantitative economy, as well as formulate industrial & regional development strategies and technical policies, which greatly enhanced the quality and level of China’s economic planning. Academician Li Jingwen has made a pioneering contribution to the establishment of the theory and method in country-wide engineering project argumentation, planning, and decision-making, which facilitated the feasibility study system of engineering construction in China. He has worked as the chief and member of the technicaland economic feasibility study over many national key projects, including the Three Gorges Project, the South-to-North Water Diversion Project, and the Beijing-Shanghai High-Speed Railway, which significantly serves the state in scientific decision-making.
