On March 6, the 2024 Beijing Municipal Intellectual Property Office Conference Working Meeting, and the Beijing Intellectual Property Strategic Advisory Committee's founding meeting, were held. Nie Zuoren, President of BJUT and Member of CAE, was appointed as the Director of the Beijing Intellectual Property Strategic Advisory Committee, and Qiao Junfei, Vice President of BJUT, was appointed as an expert member of the Committee.
At the event, President Nie Zuoren highlighted BJUT's work on intellectual property rights as well as their application and commercialization. He mentioned that the University established the Beijing Intellectual Property Institute in 2015 and formed a strong partnership with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). The University has consistently improved its administrative system and supported the application and commercialization of research findings, with the goal of contributing to Beijing's intellectual property initiatives and the development of China's intellectual property rights power.
The Beijing Municipal Intellectual Property Strategic Advisory Committee is a strategic consulting platform that provides services for the development of Beijing's intellectual property initiatives. The expert members of the Committee include professionals and scholars from various fields, including intellectual property rights, law, finance, and science and technology.
