On Jan 23, agreements were signed to establish the Keyizhonggong-BJUT Precision Transmission Technology Research Institute and to initiate the Robot Gear Reducer Industrialization Project in Shijiazhuang City. The implementation of this Project will break the foreign technology monopoly, enhance the innovation ability of enterprises and promote the transformation and upgrading of Keyizhonggong, a limited company in the field of heavy industry in Shijiazhuang City. Deputy Secretary of Shijiazhuang Municipal Committee, Mayor Xing Guohui, and President Liu Gonghui from Beijing University of Technology attended the inauguration of the Institute.

President Liu Gonghui said that the construction of Precision Transmission Technology Research Institute provided a good opportunity for the university to serve the development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Integration Strategy. BJUT will build the Research Institute into a model for cooperative development between the government, university and enterprise.

Other guests included Zhang Zefeng, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party committee of Shijiazhuang City and Nie Zuoren, Deputy President of Beijing University of Technology.
