BJUT Won the 1st Prize of Ministry of Education on the Excellent Achievements of Scientific Research in Higher Educational Institutions (Humanities and Social Science)

Recently, the book Society-Building of Contemporary China, edited by Lu Xueyi and his team, won the 1st Prize of Ministry of Education on the Excellent Achievements of Scientific Research in Higher Educational Institutions (Humanities and Social Science). This is the highest award obtained by BJUT in the field of Humanities and Social Science up to now.

The Award of Excellent Achievements of Scientific Research in Higher Educational Institutions is established by Ministry of Education for honoring high schools that have excellent achievements in social science research and for stimulating all researchers in this field to pursue rigorous scholarly work and make bold innovations. Its establishment is an important move for promoting the development and prosperity of philosophy and social sciences in high schools.

Established in 1995, this award is granted every 3 years, and it has been successfully held for 7 sessions, with 4128 outstanding achievements being awarded. The granting of awards has significant meaning in exhibiting excellent woks, promoting the transformation of scientific research achievements and directing the development of philosophy and social sciences in high schools.

These awarded works including Society-Building of Contemporary China, based on practice and academic frontier research and centered on important theories and practical problems, play a significant part in theoretical innovation and civilization inheritance. It is a reflection of the research quality and level of philosophy and social sciences in high schools.

This award is honored as “Small National Award” in the field of Social Science. Up to now, BJUT has won 4 Prizes of this Award, with one 1st Prize, two 2nd Prizes and one 3rd Prize. Lu Xueyi and his team contribute to wining one 1st Prize and one 2nd Prize.
