Recently, the Ministry of Education Science and Technology Development Center released the 2015 Top 50 high educational institutions in number of authorized invention patents, of which BJUT ranked 10^th for the first time. In addition, BJUT moved 3 places to 17 in the 2015 top 50 high educational institutions in number of effective invention patents.

In recent years, BJUT has been firmly staying in the top 20 in every patent ranking list released by the Science and Technology Development Center. This is mainly due to the fact that BJUT always considers Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) as an important part of its scientific and technological innovation work and integrates the creation, application, protection and administration of IPR into its development plan.

From now on, BJUT will fully take the advantage of its talents under the guidance of the national innovation strategy thought. BJUT will further emancipate their minds, take various measures to encourage the innovation of faculties and students and promote the transformation of IPR and scientific research achievements, to better serve the economic and social construction of China.
