On March 23^rd, the Department of Science and Technology Development organized the Expert Demonstration Meeting on the “Big-research” Project of Medical Equipments with High Performances, which was aimed to further implement the research plan in the field of intelligent manufacturing and to enhance the overall research level and performance of the medical equipments in BJUT.

This meeting was presided over by Mr. Liu Wei, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology Development, with attendees of nine experts, including four outstanding young clinical scholars. After paying attention to the reports of the research projects such as one research on the new core technology of treating atherosclerosis, some experts raised their inquiries on aspects including the professional technologies and their clinical application.

During the meeting the experts spoke highly of the innovative mode of BJUT’s “Big-research” plan and approved six research directions related to the medical equipments with high performances. In addition, they provided their suggestions as follows:

First, focusing on current directions based on the existing researching fields and making good definition on the evaluative criteria;

Secondly, highlighting the advancement of the core technology in the related researching fields home and abroad under the existing standard system;

Finally, strengthening its combination with clinical application to promote the transformation of research and achievements of advanced technology.
