On May 31st, the Fourth World 3D Printing Technology Industry Exposition opened in Shanghai Expo Center, and 132 enterprises from home and abroad participated in it. 3D printing companies from industrial, biomedical and cultural and creative fields concentrated showing the latest 3D printers, 3D printing materials, and 3D printing services. At present, from the technology to the application of 3D printing is showing new development. It is reported that, as the world’s largest 3D printing industry exhibition, the 3D printing Expo first staged in Shanghai has aroused extensive interest in the international counterparts. Especially the launch on the opening day of the establishment of 3D printing maker space by 100 schools, 3D printing digital medical center by 100 hospitals and China Industrial 3D printing Council, attracted the active participation of industrial circles, educational circles and medical communities.
3D Printing Center of BJUT was invited to attend the event. Professor Chen Jimin’s research group of 3D Printing Center of BJUT exhibited BM280 BESK metal 3D printer and DLP resin 3D printer with independent intellectual property rights. Meanwhile, “3D Printer of Fused Deposition Based on Column Coordinate” independently developed by the research group members was also released for the first time.
