The 7th China Forum of Future-oriented Technology Analysis Was Held Successfully

During July 9th to July 10th 2016, the 7th China Forum of Future-oriented Technology Analysis was smoothly held in the International Exchange Center of BJUT. This Forum was based on a major National Social Science Foundation Project of Prof. Huang Lucheng, a BJUT Discipline Construction Program and the Research Base of Beijing Modern Manufacturing Development.

This forum was themed with ‘Data-driving Emerging Technology Future Analysis and Innovative Management’. About 200 people gathered, including scholars and students from higher educational institutions like Tsinghua University, Peking University, Renmin University of China, industry leaders from companies like China Unicom, Haier Group, Shanghai Electric Group, and experts from many research institutes. They had extensive and in-depth communication and discussion with each other on this topic.

This forum started with an opening speech of Prof. Huang Lucheng and a projection of highlights in the 6 previous forums. Prof. Yang Delin (Tsinghua Unversity), Prof. Qi Chong (Nanjing University of Science and Technology) and Prof. Sun Bing and Prof.Chen Wei (Harbin Engineering University) co-presided over the sessions of academic reports.

During the forum, Chen Rui, Director of National Academy of Innovation Evaluation, gave a report on “the Theory, Method and Demonstration of Technology Foresight Facing Intelligent Sensing Society”. Wu Yishan, Deputy Dean of Chinese Academy of Science and Technology for Development and Dr. Du Jian made a report on “How to Recognize Sleeping Beauty Literature and Prince Literature”. Prof. Chen Xiangdong from Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics reported on “Observing Patent Quality from the Perspective of Economics”. Li Gang, Chief Scientist of Hai’er Open Partnership Center, made a report on the “Open Innovation of Haier in Digital Era”. Yu Jiang, a researcher of Institute of Policy of Chinese Academy of Science and Technology, made a report of the “Reflection on Innovation Mechanism of Platform and System in Digital Era”. Prof. Bao Jianyun from Remin University made a report on “Research of Risk Assessment Method Based on Big Data”. Xu Shuofu, an associate researcher from Institute of Scientific and Technical Information of China, made a report on “Technical Opportunity Discovery Research Based on Papers and Patent Resources”. As the host, Prof. Huang Lucheng and his team also made reports on their researches. Prof. Huang introduced the Data-driven Patterns; Prof. Zhai Dongsheng reported his research on Monitoring and Prediction System of Technology Fusion Track; Prof. Wu Feifei reported on the Recognition and Selection of Development Partners of Enterprises; Prof. Miao Hong reported on the Current Situation and Prospect of Well-being Technology Innovation. All those reports attracted the attention and interest of attendees.

Throughout the forum, attendees had heated discussion from macro to micro level, from enterprise to industry, from technical area to market activities and from management theory to management practice. They shared their knowledge-exchanged ideas with one another, which embodied the diversified development of data-driven innovation. Meantime, it also helped the emergence of new ideas and achievements by providing a communication platform for scholars in this area. Attendees all spoke highly of this forum, and they also expressed their expectations for the next forum.
