Salone Internazionale del Mobile, as one of the most influential interior design shows around the world, is an international stage for young interior designers to reveal talent.From November 19 to 22, Salone Internazionale del Mobile made its debut in China at Shanghai World Trade Center. In addition to displays of Italian traditional design, this exhibition also aims at discovering excellent Chinese young designers and their works to combine with Italian art. The exhibition featured 41 designers’ booths, 5 of which were made by BJUT.
These 5 works are as follows: tea-table by Tang Anqi, stone by Li Haimin, tea stems household by Gao Ping, Folding Stool by Sun Li and Seat Bag by Yang Xiaoyan. These works are under the guidance of professors Liao Wei, Sun Dali, Lin Mimi from College of Art & Design. Moreover, after a fierce competition with other 40 designers, Tan Anqi won the bronze medal and gained a ticket for Salone Internazionale del Mobile in April 2017, representing China’s emerging design talent to take part in the next interior design show.
