Professor Wang Xiayan from College of Environmental & Energy Engineering Granted the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars

Recently, National Natural Science Foundation of China has formally released the result of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars in 2016, funding 198 projects of national distinguished young scholars. In BJUT, Professor Wang Xiayan from College of Environmental & Energy Engineering was granted this fund.

The National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars aims at helping those distinguished young scholars who have achieved in basic researches to choose research direction independently and study innovatively. It contributes to the improvement of scientific and technical personnel, attracting overseas talents and cultivating a group of great academic leaders who step into the frontiers of advanced science and technology. No more than 200 projects are funded each year.

In recent years, BJUT pays great attention to cultivating research personnel of high quality and strengthening research team. The management provides these research personnel with good conditions and considerate services. Presently, 11 have gained the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars in BJUT, constituting the core team in the scientific research.
