With the support of Chinese Academy of Engineering and organized by Nanjing Tech University and Beijing University of Technology, China’s 3D Printing Material Seminar was held in BJUT on March 26th. Dai Keirong, Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering and 17 other experts attended the seminar where they discussed the application of 3D printing technology in bio-medicine and aerospace technology. About 100 representatives from more than 50 institutes were in attendance.
Representing Chinese Academy of Engineering, Zhou Lian delivered the opening speech, which explained the background and significance of the seminar. He noted, as a new development, 3D Printing Technology is receiving more attention from technological powers all over the world. However, there is an obvious gap of 3D Printing Technology especially 3D Printing Material between China and developed countries.
Representing BJUT, Vice President Nie Zuoren extended his warm welcome to the representatives and introduced recent 3D printing research development in BJUT.
At the seminar, the experts discussed the application of 3D printing technology in aerospace technology and digital medicine.
Later the representatives visited BJUT’s Digital Medical of & Technology Research Center, exhibiting the 3D Printing achievements made by BJUT.
