In the afternoon of March 9th, the research center of Prof. Wu Xinhua from Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering was set up, with its unveiling ceremony taking place at Digital Medical 3D Printing Engineering Technology Research Center in BJUT. Prof. Wu Xinhua, BJUT’s Vice President Nie Zuoren and 3D Printing Center’s Director Chen Jimin cut the ribbon for the unveiling ceremony together. 10 experts from Sanfeng Laser Technology Corporation and 3D Printing Technology Group attended the ceremony. Vice President Nie Zuoren hosted the ceremony.
Vice President Nie Zuoren gave a brief introduction to the 3D printing technology in BJUT, extending his warm welcome and high praise for Prof. Wu Xinhua’s research center. He expressed his hope that BJUT could make a breakthrough in digital medical 3D printing technology under the guidance of Prof. Wu Xinhua.
In Prof. Wu Xinhua’s view, China’s 3D printing is at its initial stage, in the sense that there is a gap between developed countries, and the industry chain hasn’t yet been formed. She hoped to cooperate with BJUT, strengthening BJUT’s scientific ability and technique skill in digital medical 3D printing materials as well as nurturing more professional talents.
After the unveiling ceremony, experts visited the laboratory of 3D printing center and attended a seminar about 3D printing material.
