From mid 2016, Beijing Municipal Commission of Science and Technology has commenced work on establishing 69 key laboratories in Beijing. The key laboratory of “building green environment and energy efficient technology” led by College of Architecture and Civil Engineering has officially being approved.

In the future, the laboratory, under the auspices of the national energy saving and emission reduction strategy, will strive for establishing a “green environment and energy saving technology” system adaptable to Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and contribute to thoroughly improving its environment. In addition, the laboratory will work on constructing the base for technology innovation and talent cultivation of Beijing green building and energy saving industry as well as becoming an important window for international cooperation and exchange.
