On April 20th, 5 visited BJUT, including Bill Moran, Publisher of Science of American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), Xiang Yan, Director of Collaboration Program in Asia, Chu Xiaoying, Manager of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. President Liu Gonghui and Nie Zuoren, Vice Chairman of the University Council met with the delegation of AAAS. Related personnel from International Office and Institute of Microstructure & Property of Advanced Materials attended.

President Liu Gonghui extended his welcome and thanks to the visiting delegation of AAAS, emphasizing BJUT’s international path and strategy, emphasizing co-operative scientific research, publication of academic papers and cultivation of high end talents as essential components of advancing international development. Further academic cooperation with Science is expected in other areas.
Bill Moran spoke highly of BJUT’s international strategy. Moreover, he noted that since science is universal without borders, the aim of Science is to serve scientific researcher, expressing hope that the editors of Science can visit BJUT and hold international conferences co-operatively with BJUT, thereby having greater opportunity to communicate with professors in BJUT.

After the meeting, Bill Moran gave his report named Science Careers-developing and finding your career path, followed by a discussion with students.
Afterward the delegation visited laboratory of Institute of Microstructure & Property of Advanced Materials to further examine scientific development at BJUT.
