Delegation of University of South Australia Visits BJUT

On May 22th, a group led by Vic President Denise Meredyth of University of South Australia visited BJUT, meeting with Vice-President Qiao Junfei and related personnel of the International Office, College of Architecture and Urban Planning, and College of Art and Design.

Vice-President Qiao Junfei welcomed the delegation and highlighted the initiatives and achievements of BJUT’s recent international academic cooperation and personnel training, stating that University of South Australia is one of the most important partners for BJUT in Oceania. With an over-decade cooperation and frequent long-term student exchanges and joint teaching cooperation projects from 2012, the two universities have achieved positive results.

Vice President Denise Meredyth thanked BJUT and outlined the general situation of University of South Australia including academic disciplines, talent cultivation and international cooperation of the school of art, architecture and design. Vice President Meredyth highlighted the recent progress of the University of South Australia in academic rankings due to its outstanding scientific research strength and high-quality talent cultivation.

During the meeting, both sides gave priority to the academic partnership, hoped to further the existing cooperation based on the good foundation and continue academic exchange and cooperation in scientific research.

After the meeting, the delegation visited College of Architecture and Urban Planning and College of Art and Design and discussed further academic cooperation, before finally visiting an exhibition by 2017 graduates of both colleges.
