On the morning of July 1st, Beijing- Dublin International College 2017 Student Graduation Ceremony & Double Degree Commencement were held. Huang Kan, Deputy Director of Beijing Municipal Education Commission, BJUT’s President Liu Gonghui, and University College Dublin’s President Andrew Deeks attended the ceremony, chaired by Vice President Wu Bin.
Leaders expressed their sincere congratulations to these graduates. Deputy Director Huang Kan noted that all graduates should bear in mind their responsibilities. He hoped that BJUT and UCD would keep working closely together and try to build BDIC into an excellent role model for Chinese-International Cooperation in educational programs and a bridge of friendship between BJUT and UCD, Beijing and Dublin, and China and Ireland.
President Liu Gonghui spoke to the graduates of BDIC of virtues worthy of aspiration, to have gratitude and commitment to family, career and society, to be ambitious, innovative, independent, to maintain critical thought process, and to remember to promote the national spirit, actively spread Chinese culture and contribute to the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
President Andrew Deeks expected them to skillfully apply knowledge to practice and become an honest and outstanding, creative and active in future career path.
This graduation ceremony is the second session of Beijing-Dublin International College. BDIC will endeavor to cultivate first rate creative students with international vision & competitiveness, and understanding of Chinese & Western culture.
