Recently, the joint meeting for Beijing Urban Sustainable Development Research Project was held in BJUT. The following guests attended the meeting including Vice Chairman Ma Jin of Beijing Talents Work Group, Vice President Du Xiuli of BJUT, Manager Luo Jin of Beijing Olympic Construction (A Subsidiary of Beijing Enterprises Group Company Limited), Water Technology Director Jia Liming, Assistant of General Manager of Water Technology Research and Development Center Li Xinwei, Professor Mo Zhiming of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Chairman Luo Xuan and Development Director Lin Bo of Chinese Mainland Affairs Office, professors and doctoral students of 6 research groups in BJUT and HKPU. This meeting was presided over by Director Wu Wenying of International Office.
Vice President Du Xiuli addressed the conference, expressing his hope that BJUT and HKPU can interlink well with Beijing Enterprises Group Co. Ltd and boost cooperation in Beijing Urban Sustainable Development Research Project.
Related personnel of HKPU, Beijing Enterprises Group Co. Ltd and Beijing Talents Work Group gave an introduction to research background, development of Beijing Enterprises Group Co. Ltd and fund for training post-doctoral jointly & recruitment plan.
Beijing Urban Sustainable Development Research Project is promoted by Beijing Municipal Party Committee Organization Department, Beijing Municipal Education Commission and Beijing Talents Work Group. Having finished the project initiation and preparation in first stage, this project has come to the second stage. With the assistance of Beijing Talents Work Group, BJUT and HKPU signed cooperation agreement on joint post-doctoral training. A total of 12 international talents are urgently needed for post doctoral research in 6 research groups. The next stage aims at interlinking with state-owned enterprises and supporting the capital as a combined center of politics, culture, international relations and scientific innovation through collaboration and technology transfer. Moreover, it is expected to be an excellent model of both Beijing-Hong Kong and university-enterprise-regional development cooperation.
