On the afternoon of June 7th, 2017 BJUT held a preparatory training session for overseas exchange. Vice-President Wu Bin, related personnel of college and department, teachers and nearly 300 overseas exchange students attended this session.
Vice-President Wu Bin extended his congratulations to the students embarking on overseas exchange. At the same time Vice President Wu introduced the international training system and various exchange programs of BJUT, and highlighted the important concepts in relation to the ongoing development of “open education” as well as the general situation of international communication.
BJUT’s strategy is entirely in line with the development route of “national level and international standard” in the 13th Five-year Plan. Overseas Exchange is a significant part of BJUT’s strategy to cultivate innovative talents and build an internationally renowned research university with distinct characteristics.
At the end of May this year, the number of overseas exchange students reached 548, during which 155 undergraduate students participated in long-term exchange programs while 398 participated in short-term programs. A total of 95 graduate and doctoral students went abroad to attend international conferences or participate in joint training.
