Recently, according to the proposed project list of key special projects “Research into the Cause and Control of Air Pollution” and “Strategic Advanced Electronic Materials”, two projects of BJUT “Air Pollution Assessment Technology and Research” and “the Key Technology of Ultrashort Pulse, Single Frequency and Infrared Laser Materials and Devices” were approved. As such, this is both a breakthrough in undertaking national key research and development projects and another outstanding result in national key scientific research projects.
In accordance with public notification, 40 key special projects were included in 2017 national key research and development projects among which BJUT was predicted to undertake 10 specific subjects and participate in nearly 30 tasks. Both participation and funding have greatly improved since 2016. The result shows that BJUT achieved further development in serving the country’s major strategic needs, developing the key common technology, enhancing the level of scientific research and improving the ability to solve the major issues. It also indicated that BJUT was active and diversified in planning and participating in scientific research activities.
