On May 23, Judith Le Maire De Romsee, Vice President of Université Libre de Bruxelles, visited Beijing University of Technology together with another four people. The Vice President Wu Bin met with the delegation on behalf of the school, accompanied by the relevant persons in charge of Graduate School, International Exchange and Cooperation Office, the School of Architecture and Urban Planning and the School of Life Science.
The Vice President Wu Bin first extended a warm welcome to the delegation. He briefly introduced the basic situation of Beijing University of Technology and the general situation of the school’s international exchanges and cooperation, and highlighted the latest development of the “World-class Universities and World-class Disciplines” construction of Beijing University of Technology. He pointed out that in order to better grasp the development opportunity of “World-class Universities and World-class Disciplines” construction, Beijing University of Technology is willing to further promote cooperation between the two universities through student exchanges, teacher exchange visits and pragmatic scientific research cooperation with world-class universities. The Vice President Romsee expressed her gratitude for the warm reception of the Vice President Wu Bin. She briefly introduced the basic situation, preponderant disciplines and scientific research strength of Université Libre de Bruxelles.
The two universities unanimously agreed to expand the scale of long and short-term student exchanges, carry out joint training of high-level students and teachers cooperation in scientific research, to further deepen exchanges and cooperation between the two universities.
The delegation of Université Libre de Bruxelles visited the School of Architecture and Urban Planning and the Discipline Laboratory of the School of Life Science, and conducted in-depth symposium with professors in related research fields and discussed models such as scientific research cooperation of related disciplines.
