Tadeusz Burczyński, Director of the Institute of Basic Technology of the Polish Academy of Sciences, visits BJUT

On December 6, Tadeusz Burczyński, Director of the Institute of Basic Technology of the Polish Academy of Sciences, paid a visit to Beijing University of Technology and attended the first “Belt and Road” Sino-Polish University Consortium Art Festival and Art&Design Competition. Xie Hui, Secretary of the BJUT CPC Committee, met with Director Burczyński on behalf of the university. Vice President Wu Bin and relevant heads from the International Office also attended the meeting.

Secretary Xie Hui warmly welcomed the visit of Director Burczyński and thanked him for his strong support for the“Belt and Road” Sino-Polish University Consortium Art Festival. He introduced BJUT, focusing on the university’s history, development, specialist programmes, “Double First-class”  and internationalization.

Director Burczyński expressed his thanks to BJUT for its warm welcome. He briefly introduced the Institute of Basic Technology of the Polish Academy of Sciences including main areas of research and training methods.

The two parties discussed cooperation and joint training of high-level personnel, in addition to joint scientific research in the fields of machinery, materials, information, electronics and biomedicine.

The Institute of Basic Technology is the largest institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences in the field of engineering science, with the highest level of A+ in the Polish academic field. The main task of the Institute is to conduct high-quality research in global science and technology. Its main research fields include modern mechanics, material science, electronic engineering, biomedical engineering, information and computing science and nanoscience.
