BJUT Holds Exchanges with HK, Macao, Taiwan, and Overseas Chinese Students

On Feb 22, BJUT Vice President Wu Bin chaired a meeting with students from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, and Chinese students overseas to mark the start of the new semester. Representatives from the Offices of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs, Educational Administration, Student Affairs, and the Administration Office of the Tongzhou Campus, as well as 15 Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and overseas Chinese students were in attendance.

According to the Vice President, the meeting was aimed at helping students adjust to college life, and improve school management. He noted that BJUT, as a project 211 University, was able to provide excellent campus facilities. He hoped that students could, first of all, actively integrate into campus life, and experience the culture of Beijing and BJUT. He also stressed the importance of observing rules and regulations and pursuing academic achievements. Vice President Wu then went on to talk about promoting the university as ambassadors, and attracting more Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and overseas Chinese students to BJUT. At the meeting, Vice President Wu gave each of the students a “BJUT Hammer” bookmark, encouraging them to steel themselves and cultivate a spirit of craftsmanship.

During the meeting, representatives presented the educational administration of Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, and overseas Chinese students with the Student Development Plan and scholarship policies regarding Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, and overseas Chinese students. who helo detailed discussions on the policies with BJUT admin staff.
