Establishing overseas liaison offices is an important step for BJUT to open education to the outside world, run an international university, implement its global development strategy and develop an international talent team. Following the guideline of “broadening network, strengthening publicity, promoting cooperation, attracting talents, improving services and connecting with alumni”, according to the study abroad trends of BJUT students, the concentration of foreign partners, and the need to optimize the structure of international students, BJUT is opening overseas liaison offices and hiring liaison commissioners in different countries and regions step by step to consolidate and improve its international exchange network. By now, BJUT has 11 partners in Korea. In the last three years, Korea has consistently been the largest source for international students.
Ms. Guo has been working with the College of International Education since 2016, responsible for the recruitment of international students in Korea. With her assistance, BJUT has seen improvement in the number and quality of Korean students for three years. Meanwhile, she promoted cooperation and exchanges between BJUT and Korean universities. She helped BJUT develop partnerships and sign agreements with a number of top Korean universities, such as Seoul National University, Sejong University, and Seoul National University of Technology.
