The shortlist for the 2020 Times Higher Education (THE) Awards Asia was announced on June 3rd. Beijing University of Technology has been nominated for Workplace of the Year as well asOutstanding Leadership and Management Team, which is remarkable. This year's THE Awards Asia includes many institutions from different countries and regions. Winners will be announced at the ceremony held by THE Awards in the second half of the year. According to the shortlist released, a total of 11 institutions from Mainland China have been nominated including Tsinghua University, Peking University, Nankai University, and Beijing University of Technology.

THE Awards are widely recognized as the Oscars of the higher education sector.Following 14 years as a landmark event in the UK higher education calendar, 2019 saw THE Awards'debut in Asia for the first time, thus creating THE Awards Asia. This year's event will honor institutions across 10 categories, giving more opportunities for institutions to tell the world about the transformational they have done.They also offer a major international platform to recognize outstanding leadership and institutional performance and celebrate higher education excellence in all of its diversity.
